Paste a user story or requirement and generate structured test cases with AI—titles, preconditions, steps, expected results, and priority. No signup required to try it. Review what comes back and decide what is worth keeping.
This is a limited free preview: a small sample of cases, not a full test suite.

Free preview generator
Paste a user story or requirement. Generate structured test cases. No account required — about 10 seconds.
What the free preview includes
The guest preview is the fastest way to see what QA Workflow Assistant produces:
- No signup — paste a story or requirement and generate
- Structured output — a short summary plus 1–2 test cases with title, precondition, steps, expected result, and priority
- Review on the page — nothing is sent to Jira or Xray, and the preview is not saved to an account history
What it does not include:
- No acceptance criteria field (the story field is the only input)
- No deeper edge-case and negative-scenario coverage
- No export
- No Jira or Xray push
- Limited use: previews are rate-limited, so you can run only a handful per hour
For a first look at structure and quality, that is usually enough. When you need more, create a free account or explore Pro.

Example: user story to structured test cases
The following is an illustrative example, not a live generator response.
User story: As a user, I want to reset my password so I can regain access to my account.
A structured test case for that story might look like this:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Title | Request a password reset with a registered email |
| Precondition | An active account exists; email delivery works in the test environment |
| Steps | 1. Open the password reset page 2. Enter the registered email 3. Submit the request |
| Expected result | A confirmation appears without revealing account details; a reset email is sent to that address |
| Priority | High |
That is what “structured” means here: concrete steps and a checkable expected result instead of a vague “test password reset” note. Deeper coverage on Pro can add cases such as expired or reused reset links and unknown email addresses. For a full manual checklist, see password reset test cases.
Who this is for
- QA engineers who want a faster first draft from a story or requirement
- Testers turning user stories and requirements into reviewable cases
- Lean and small QA teams where each tester covers a lot of stories with their own account
- Jira-first teams who may later want to deliver reviewed tests into Jira or Xray
AI output is a draft. You still decide what matches the product, the risk, and the release.
If your stories live in Jira and you want the full workflow from story to Jira and Xray delivery, see the AI test case generator for Jira.
FAQ
Is the AI test case generator free?
Yes, the preview is free and needs no signup. It returns a small sample of 1–2 structured cases and is rate-limited. A free account adds Basic generation with history (up to 2 cases per generation, 10 generations per rolling 24 hours). Pro unlocks deeper coverage, export, and Jira/Xray delivery.
Do I need to create an account?
Not to try the preview. You need an account for generation history, the acceptance criteria field, and anything beyond the preview.
Can I generate test cases from a user story?
Yes. Paste the user story or requirement into the generator above. A clear story with specific behavior produces more useful cases than a one-line title.
Can I review the test cases before using them?
Yes. The preview shows the output on the page and does not send anything to Jira or Xray. On Pro, you review coverage first and choose what to export or push.
Can I export generated test cases?
Export is available on Pro. The guest preview and free account do not include export.
Does it work with Jira?
Yes, on Pro. After you connect Jira, you can push reviewed cases into your project as Test-type issues. You do not need Jira to try the preview. For more, read about pushing generated tests to Jira and Xray.
Does it work with Xray?
Yes, on Pro with the Xray integration connected: reviewed cases become Jira Test issues with Xray steps, and you can add them to Test Sets and Test Executions. It does not create Xray Test Plans.
Does the free preview include negative and edge cases?
No. The preview returns a short sample. Edge-case and negative-scenario coverage is part of Pro. For writing them by hand, see negative test cases and edge case testing.
